Ladies that lunch!

As we gallop forward through the months we found ourselves already in April. For us here in the northern hemisphere, we should apparently be out donning our rain coats and wellies enjoying the April Showers (I’m thinking red wellies and a bright yellow raincoat!). But 2015 has brought us some early welcomed warm weather, and here at LL Creations we intend to enjoy it whilst it lasts! So to get our creativeness flowing, its mandatory lunch hour outside in the sunshine! Yes, I hear you sigh…it’s a very hard life!

New beginnings & Spring Inspiration.

Spring is a time for rebirth and new beginnings, and there is nothing quite like sitting back, taking a deep breath of that lovely sweet smelling fresh spring air and listening to the hustle and bustle of bird-life in the garden.

Inspiration can come from anywhere if you just take the time to open your mind and observe. For me personally a lot of my inspiration comes from the beauty of nature, with its refreshing and vivid colour palette, and gentleness that for me sums up spring.

Mother nature’s floral delights are something that always inspires me, either through their interesting shapes, textures, or colours. As an avid gardener in my spare time, I love experimenting with different textures and colour combinations within the garden, I like a garden that gently sways and moves within a soft gentle spring breeze or a cool evening breeze on a hot summer’s day.

I also like to experiment with colours and perhaps push the boundary lines (sometimes with great effect and other times perhaps not).

I find that it’s these times spent in the garden appreciating nature’s beauty that inspires me to incorporate these ideas and emotions into my hand crafted designs, through the use of different textures, tones, colours and floral designs. I love nothing more than to experiment with different mediums to create beautiful handmade cards.

So I thought I’d share with you some photos I’ve taken during the spring months past and present for inspiration.
